Have you ever heard of Llanes? If not, then you have not heard of the most charming and lovely coastal town in Asturias, and the perfect spot for an unforgettable adventure holiday.

Located between Santander and Gijón, you will be attracted by a wide range of adventure activities options, including hiking, canyoning, kayaking, caving, SUP and biking.

Llanes has more than 30 idyllic beaches and dramatic cliffs where you will be delighted doing surfing or SUP. 

Undoubtedly, kayaking on the Deva River is a must for all visitors. A descent of the spectacular River Deva in sit-on-top tandem kayaks, enjoying the fantastic mountain scenery and exciting white water.

If you are keen on some extreme action, canyoning is definitely the most adrenaline-inducing activity. Jump, slide, swim, abseil and zipline through some of the most spectacular natural settings Picos de Europa has to offer. It is an awesome feeling, and no experience is required. You just need to be active and healthy and possess a spirit of adventure.

This trip takes us into the beautiful mountain scenery of Picos de Europa National Park and the Cantabrian coast. The tour explores the park with adventure activities in the wild landscapes of these undiscovered mountains and the magical Cantabrian coast.  

The Picos de Europa are just 40 minutes inland from the Cantabrian Sea, which gives them a uniqueness for the spectacular views and their sculptured peaks.

No se requiere una preparación física especial ni experiencia previa para llevar a cabo este el viaje, basta con tener una forma física normal y muchas ganas de aventura.

Day 1. Arrival at Llanes
Description:

Arrival at Llanes. Check-in at the selected hotel. Before dinner, we will do the briefing and dinner to bond the group at the restaurant. Accommodation.

Day 2. KAYAKING ON THE RIVER DEVA
Description:

Breakfast. KAYAKING ON THE RIVER DEVA. A descent of the spectacular River Sella in sit-on-top tandem canoes, enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery and exciting rapids. The canoeing tour is about 12 km and around 3-4 hours of easy paddling through stunning landscapes. Halfway through the trip, there is a stop for a relaxing picnic lunch on the banks of the river, and the braves can have a dip! Accommodation.

Day 3. CANYONING.
Description:

Breakfast. CANYONING. Explore the Picos de Europa from within, descending a gorge which has been forged by a mountain river.  In this challenging activity, dressed in wetsuits, find natural wells and water slides, abseiling in waterfalls and jump into beautiful pools. Lunch in a restaurant. Accommodation.

Day 4. CAVING & STAND UP PADDLE
Description:

Breakfast. SUP (STAND UP PADDLE) Llanes is a narrow strip of mountains and coastline, creating steep cliff drops to the Atlantic Ocean. The coast is a series of cliffs giving way to scallop-shaped sand beaches. There are a lot of surf spots, some famous, but most are only known by our guides. Depending on the sea, we will enjoy this activity on one of our wonderful beaches.  You will learn the first notions of this amazing sport and of course, will enjoy the beautiful beaches. Packed lunch on the beach. In the afternoon, CAVING. A caving tour takes you to a world that, whether you are the first to enter or not, will leave an unforgettable impression. Your caving activity can involve walking and crawling through a whole new subterranean world – one you never knew existed. Be amazed by the rock formations. Asturias has some of the best limestone caving in Spain. To finish this unforgettable trip, we will go to a Cider Factory to enjoy a typical Asturian dinner. Accommodation.

Day 5. Departure
Description:

Breakfast and end of services.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

TOUR GROUPS. The minimum number necessary to complete a tour is 4 clients. 

DEPOSIT

A deposit of 20% is required to reserve a place on the tour.  The Deposit should be paid immediately to ensure that the tour company Rumbo a Picos can confirm your reservation.

FINAL PAYMENT

Final payment must be made not later than 30 days prior to the tour start date.

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

  • If the client cancels his/her booking prior to the tour start date,  to cover the tour company’s costs & administrative expenses the company will retain for a  cancellation prior to 90days/€50, 60days/€100, 30days/€150 and will refund to the client all others payments received by the company from the client.
  • If the client cancels his/her booking within 30 days of the tour start date, the tour company will not make any refund to the client.
  • The tour company reserves the right to modify the tour program & the itinerary in the event of circumstances outside of their control such as Force Majure, severe or unsuitable weather or any other circumstances they consider necessary to ensure the safety of the tour participants. 
  • If a participant decides to abandon the tour for whatever reason, he/she should inform the Guide in writing of their decision.  Any related expenses must be paid by the participant.  

INSURANCES

INSURANCE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. This insurance covers exclusively the risks derived from the hiking activities foreseen in the trip. It does not cover travel insurance.  

All customers must have travel insurance. They have to bring this along with them, and the guides will collect it at the start of the trip. Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and travel cancellation expenses. You may make your arrangements regarding your travel insurance, or if you prefer, you can purchase travel insurance from us.  Ours covers specialised adventure activities, including assistance and cancellation.  Please, ask for our travel insurance with the table of benefits.
