Easy Level
Have you ever heard of Llanes? If not, then you have not heard of the most charming and lovely coastal town in Asturias, and the perfect spot for an unforgettable adventure holiday.
Located between Santander and Gijón, you will be attracted by a wide range of adventure activities options, including hiking, canyoning, kayaking, caving, SUP and biking.
Llanes has more than 30 idyllic beaches and dramatic cliffs where you will be delighted doing surfing or SUP.
Undoubtedly, kayaking on the Deva River is a must for all visitors. A descent of the spectacular River Deva in sit-on-top tandem kayaks, enjoying the fantastic mountain scenery and exciting white water.
If you are keen on some extreme action, canyoning is definitely the most adrenaline-inducing activity. Jump, slide, swim, abseil and zipline through some of the most spectacular natural settings Picos de Europa has to offer. It is an awesome feeling, and no experience is required. You just need to be active and healthy and possess a spirit of adventure.
This trip takes us into the beautiful mountain scenery of Picos de Europa National Park and the Cantabrian coast. The tour explores the park with adventure activities in the wild landscapes of these undiscovered mountains and the magical Cantabrian coast.
The Picos de Europa are just 40 minutes inland from the Cantabrian Sea, which gives them a uniqueness for the spectacular views and their sculptured peaks.
This tour gives you all of that. The activities are one part of it. The cultural & environmental experiences are the others.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:
We usually do the activity in the Eastern Massif of Los Picos de Europa, but it depends significantly on the weather and snow conditions.
We leave Llanes at 9.00 and make collections in Cabrales around 9.30.
We reached the Jito del Escarandi at about 1,300 meters above sea level.
First, we put on the Snowshoes and explain their use and how to progress with them on different terrains: flat, ascent and descent.
We take the Ándara mines track, an easy track with an ascending but gentle slope until we reach the Ándara Refuge. During the tour, we will make different stops, and we will explain the following contents:
– Choice of safe itineraries with Snowshoes
– Types of avalanches and how to identify them
– Types of snow and how to identify them
We stop to eat a picnic at the Refuge and enjoy the snowy landscape of the Picos de Europa.
After lunch, we can return through the Canal de Las Vacas, a wilder area where you can try Snowshoeing on more complicated terrain.
What to bring:
The Benasque Valley, in the heart of the Pyrenees, is home to the most significant number of 3,000-meter-high peaks in the Pyrenees, distributed in three groups of peaks around the Maladetas, Posets and Perdiguero massifs.
In this Trekking through the Benasque Valley, we will enjoy the spectacular landscape richness of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. This mountain group brings together the largest concentration of peaks over 3,000 meters in the entire Pyrenees. The Posets Maladeta Natural Park offers us an impressive set of 13 glaciers, 95 ibones (lakes of glacial origin) and waterfalls of great beauty. Deep valleys, high peaks, rivers, meadows, forests...
In addition, we will have the experience of spending a night at the Cap de Llauset Refuge, the highest year-round mountain refuge in the Pyrenees (2425m), surrounded by several 3000m peaks, including Aneto. It has been built modularly, with materials from the valley, making it more respectful of the environment.
The Southern side of the Picos de Europa may have a different climate to the Cantabrian seaward side and, along with the Western Massif, approached from the South, offers many different perspectives. The first part of the trip takes you into the heart of the Riaño mountains south of the Picos.
There, you will immediately feel the expansive grandeur of these Alpine-like peaks mirrored in the still water of the lakes beneath them. The villages, too, are small, intimate and pretty. There are very few hill walkers and tourists in this area, adding to that sense of tranquillity that will make this tour an exceptional experience.
Hut-to-Hut Trek in the French Pyrenees & National Park of Ordesa & Monte Perdido.
Enjoying the most demanding high mountain routes has never been so easy.
The "Alta Ruta de los Perdidos" is a project that originates firstly to ancient herdsmen & in recent times, to the ranger of the Bujaruelo mountain. It connects the livestock valley of Ara, uniting it with routes to two of the great massifs of the Pyrenees, Monte Perdido and Vignemale. The route is 63 km and 5,000 meters of cumulative gain. It is gorgeous & authentic, with spectacular mountains, glacial cirques and valleys, making this High Route of the Lost Ones an incomparable route to experience.
La Alta Ruta de los Perdidos (High Route of the Lost Ones) is a challenging high mountain trek that demands fitness & high-level hiking experience.

“HIKING THE SERRA TRAMUNTANA & PENNINSULA FORMENTOR IN MALLORCA ISLAND”
This tour is ideal for hillwalkers with a good level of fitness & recent experience walking at grade A or B.
In the Serra de Tramuntana, nature has created beauty spots that are unique in the world and essential for understanding Mallorca. Landscapes that have become an island emblem, like the peninsula of Sa Foradada, the beach of Sa Calobra, the Torrent de Pareis canyon, the dramatic cliffs of Formentor, the singular upwelling of water at Ses Fonts Ufanes in Campanet.
This program of walks aims to explore the whole of Serra de Tramuntana. It will include an exceptional walk—El Camino del Faro (lighthouse) de Formentor—which is not specifically in the Serra but is a route of sheer beauty.
The Serra is situated along the North coast of Mallorca. It is a mountainous region, steep, precipitous with the highest peaks of the island. A region steeped in culture, its landscape
honed & developed by man over many centuries. It was declared a protected region in 2011.
The total distance we cover over the full week will be about 87km, with a cumulative height gain of 4,895m. Although some of the walks we do intertwine with the GR 221 walk, we have designed our walks to be exclusive to our program.
While the walk program indicated suggests all the walks are Level A, the nature & design of the traverse of Serra Tramontana allow us to also offer shorter & and less difficult routes that are suitable for Level.
Depending on your brief, we can facilitate “A” walkers with more challenging options, “B” walkers with shorter walks with more peaks & “C” walkers with comfortable walks featuring areas of historic or cultural interest. The choice is yours, just let us know in advance.
