Hiking in Madeira offers an unforgettable experience due to its stunning landscapes, diverse terrain, and mild climate year-round.

The island’s terrain ranges from dramatic coastal cliffs to towering mountain peaks, providing hiking opportunities for all experience levels.

Madeira is famous for its levadas, irrigation channels initially built to transport water from the wetter regions to the drier areas. Many of these levadas now serve as scenic hiking trails, offering breathtaking routes through the island’s lush landscapes.

During this trekking adventure in Madeira, we will explore some of the island’s most spectacular natural scenery, from panoramic coastal views and lush forests to scenic levadas. We will also reach the summit of Pico Ruivo, the island’s highest peak.

Most participants join our trips as solo travellers. You can choose a single room (with a supplement) or share a room with another traveler of the same gender if possible.
