WHAT TO BRING
Canyoning in Picos de Europa is one of the most exciting adventure activities for discovering nature from a completely different perspective. A canyon descent takes you through a mountain river environment where you may swim through clear pools, slide down natural chutes, abseil beside waterfalls and move through spectacular rocky landscapes. The current Rumbo a Picos page highlights this mix of sport, adventure and scenery, as well as their focus on choosing different canyons depending on the season, group size and participants’ experience.
At Rumbo a Picos, we organise canyoning experiences for different profiles, from beginners looking for their first adventure to more active travellers seeking a fuller, more technical day out. Previous experience is not essential to get started, as the activity can be adapted to each group's needs. The aim is always to offer the most suitable canyon so the experience is safe, enjoyable and exciting, in line with the approach described on the current page.
Canyoning in northern Spain, and especially in the Picos de Europa, is a great way to explore hidden corners of the landscape that cannot be seen from trails or viewpoints. It combines adventure, movement, water, and nature in a single experience, making it ideal for travellers seeking something active and memorable.
