Itinerary and details

Itinerary description

5-day walking tour in Tena Valley, Torla, Ordesa, Añisclo Canyon, Bujaruelo Valley, Panticosa. Enjoy the Ordesa National Park to the fullest.

Day 1. EL IBON DE PIEDRAFITA (PIEDRAFITA DE JACA) 15 Km, +350m -350m
Description:

Meeting in Jaca at 9.00. We begin this beautiful walking tour in the Tena Valley with the route to Ibón de Piedrafita. It is a circular route through the Sierra de la Partacua to the Ibon de Piedrafita, passing through the incredible geological formation of the Arco de Piedrafita and crossing the wonderful beech forest of Betato. In the afternoon, transfer to Torla. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2. PANTICOSA - VALLE DE LA RIPERA. 10 Km +400m -400m
Description:

Breakfast. La Ripera is a hidden valley not far from Panticosa, which connects with the neighbouring valley of Bujaruelo. Our path starts just behind the Gondola (Ski Resort) building. We will walk along the Bolética River next to us, passing the Zoche bridge. We will see several ravines join the river. Later, the landscape changes, a narrow path flanked by lush vegetation, which makes walking an even greater enjoyment, if possible. Once in the heart of the Ripera Valley, depending on how we feel, we can continue to another hidden mountain hut in a beautiful corner known as Rincón del Verde, at 1,900m. In the afternoon, there is an optional activity to enjoy a thermal session at the Panticosa Spa. Return to Torla, dinner and accommodation.

Day 3. ROUTE OF THE SOASO WATERFALLS. 12 Km +400m -400m
Description:

Breakfast. Today, we are going to the Ordesa Valley. We leave the Ordesa meadow and take the wide Soaso path, crossing a forest of beech and fir trees to the viewpoint of the Arripas waterfall, and then we approach the two waterfalls on the left: the Cueva waterfall and the Strait waterfall. Now, we have to climb to reach the spectacular “Gradas de Soaso”, where the river falls, forming repeated steps.

At this point, the route offers an option to those who want to experience a little more of the beauty of the place to continue to Cola de Caballo. It would be 6 km more round trip and 150m of elevation gain. Return to Torla, dinner and accommodation.

Day 4. HIKE TO ORDISO & OTAL VALLEYS. 13 Km +350m -350m
Description:

Breakfast. This route crosses the Bujaruelo Valley with fabulous views of the Vignemale and covers the Ordiso and Otal valleys. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, and recommended to get to know the Bujaruelo Valley. The route crosses the meadows next to the Ara River, one of the wildest rivers in the Pyrenees, with views of the Otal and Bujaruelo valleys. We will always walk through the vibrant waters of the Ara River that echo off the large rock walls surrounding us. Return to Torla, dinner and accommodation.

Day 5. HIKE TO MONDOTO PEAK. THE AÑISCLO CANYON. 10 Km +680m -680m
Description:

Breakfast. Climb to Mondoto Peak (1,950 m) from Nerin to see the stunning Añisclo Canyon from above, as well as the great peaks of the Ordesa-Monte Perdido Park. The contrasts and depth of the canyon are incredible, and from Mondoto Peak, we will have impressive views of the summit of Monte Perdido, Cilindro de Malbore and the Añisclo canyon.
